I don’t waste any time getting into my SUV and following Tiressa to make sure she gets home safely. I’m not worried that I’ll lose track of her because I know exactly where she lives. Pulling up a few feet beyond her driveway, I watch her unlock her front door and go inside her apartment. Lights go on in her living room and bedroom. I wait fifteen more minutes before slowly pulling off. She lives in a safe neighborhood and I’ve already checked out the other residents in her triplex, across the street, and on both sides of her tiny apartment building. As I drive across town, to my place, I think about how much I’ve done to make sure Tiressa was hired as my mother’s personal assistant. Nothing nefarious or illegal, but I did work some things to my benefit. I want to give her time to get to know me—to feel comfortable with me. This is why I thought it was a brilliant idea to just happen to be leaving work at the same time that she leaves. I know her schedule. As a matter of fact, I receive a weekly itinerary and know which days she’ll most likely be working at the office and which days she’ll be at the mansion.

She was first brought to my attention by Jason and Derrick. We were in Nicholas’s office when they were telling him about the new partnerships with a couple of local schools. Our cousin Rachael was mentioned; someone named Carmen and Rachael’s best friend, Tiressa. Derrick kept going on and on about wanting to see her and trying to get her to go out with him. I didn’t know he was into dating black women too. Shortly after that, Zach Roman, from personnel, brought Tiressa’s application to me with both Jason and Derrick listed as references. He informed me that Jason had asked him to find her a temp position for the summer. They wanted me to fast track her background check. When Rachael attended a family get-together, we spent a lot of time catching up, and she talked at length about her work and her best friend, Tiressa. My curiosity was well wetted. Derrick Matthews wanted her, my brother liked her and spoke highly of her, and Rachael talked about her like only a best friend does—with great fondness and admiration. Where I was just merely curious before, after that night, I was intrigued and determined to find out more about Tiressa Hawkins for myself.

I know I should pump my breaks, slow things down and give her more time. Yet, I can’t regret touching her and bringing her body close against mine. I could have sworn I got high off the scent of her. Even now, her sweet vanilla and amber essence lingers in my memory. I damn sure don’t regret for a minute, the feel of her muscles fluttering as I pressed my hand into her belly—my cock actually twitched when I felt her quivers. Although I would like to ease Tiressa into our relationship, I can’t wait any longer.
